A total of 26 schools, located in the urban area, were identified with the help of
local school authorities.

The researchers, togheter with school managers, organized meetings with
teachers and the children’s parents in order to illustrate the project and promote participation in the study.

About 250 6-8 year-old children were recruited in each city, for a total of 1.149 children in the entire study.
